Fallen Leaf Winter Panorama

One of my favorite locations near my home in Lake Tahoe is Fallen Leaf Lake. Mount Tallac is the most majestic peak in the region, forming the west side of the basin surrounding Fallen Leaf Lake. With fresh snow and clouds contrasted with blue sky and evergreens, the color just flows into the lake. When the season turns cold and the storms roll in, I am often the only person around to enjoy the show. This is where I find my peace, and compose some of my favorite images of the High Sierra. As a local, this is my Tahoe experience.
