Evening Storm Light, Yellowstone

After a wonderful week in the Tetons, I chose to head north into Yellowstone on my way home (who can resist!). I was rewarded with wonderfully dramatic light and moody clouds as a fast moving rain storm broke. I was taken by the simple strong lines of the meadow, pine covered ridge and dark clouds converging together. In large format fashion, I chose to emphasize the clouds, as I felt they added power to this very simple scene. The soft light added a warm to the land, signifying the end of the storm. Yellowstone is a vast, changeable and powerful place. My photographic vision changes to embrace this unique landscape.
