I love wandering the shore of Lake Tahoe. The vastness of the lake can be overwhelming. However, the details right at your feet can be enthralling. Looking through the crystal clear water at the rocky bottom, I realized that there was just enough motion to cause distortion. It was as though there were little magnifying glasses floating in the water refracting the light, creating prisms, and giving the rocky lake bottom a painterly appearance. These 'micro landscapes" have an amazingly abstract quality to them. Extraordinary! Lake Tahoe never disappoints.
