Jon Paul's entire photographic process is based on producing the finest grand scale fine art prints available today. From the care he takes with his photographic technique, to his use of large format film cameras to capture his images, Jon's desire is to do justice to the "Moments in Time" he experiences in nature. Staying true to this philosophy, Jon has chosen the print media he feels most capable of representing his vision. With private and corporate collectors around the globe, Jon Paul's exquisite prints truly represent "The Fine Art of Nature" as the artist has intended.

Your choices:

Chromogenic Prints:
This is what you would refer to as a "traditional" photographic print. However, Instead of shining light through the film onto the photographic paper, we create an enormous digital file directly from Jon's large sheet of film. Next, in our modern dark room, we expose the image onto the silver based, light sensitive paper using colored lasers. The paper is then run through traditional photographic chemicals, which react to the exposed emulsion of the paper, and develop the latent image. The result of this process is an archival photographic print with amazing color depth and clarity. This type of print is most often traditionally framed for display.
Approximately 50% of Jon's collectors choose this type of print.

Aluminum Prints:
Aluminum prints are created by infusing archival dyes directly into the surface of specially coated aluminum sheets. Prints on aluminum have a very vibrant, glossy surface and are considered by many to have a more modern minimalist look. While they can be traditionally framed, aluminum prints are most often "float mounted". We adhere a hidden frame to the back of the print, giving the image the appearance of floating 1/2 inch off of the wall. Approximately 50% of Jon's collectors choose this type of print.
Note: While aluminum prints are a little more costly than traditional prints, they do not require framing. Additionally, the lack of framing also makes it possible to hang a larger piece in the same available space, which highlights the incredible detail of Jon's large format film images. Float mounts also provide a clean look for multi panel presentations.
