Mountain Tapestry, Colorado

As I drove the mountain passes of the San Juan Skyway in Colorado, I had no schedule and no destination. I was there to see what I could see. Well, this got me to stop and look. The strong vertical white lines of the aspen trunks grabbed my attention. They stood out so strongly against the darker, richer colors of the fall foliage behind growing on the hillside. To my eye, this appears to have been woven by Mother Nature. A tapestry of Fall beauty at high altitude.
