Moose Antlers, Naknek Sunset, Katmai, Alaska

While visiting Katmai National Park with the purpose of photographing Alaskan Brown Bears, I made an effort to devote some time to interesting and unique landscapes. As this lovely pastel sunset developed, I positioned this set of moose antlers in the water as a strong foreground, and as a reminder of the amazing creatures that exist here. I was fortunate to eke out enough time, at the right moment, to capture one exposure in ideal light. I then had to immediately retreat, as a large brown bear and her cub wanted to wander through "my location". A beautiful experience all around!
