Vikingsholm Castle by Moonlight, Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe

This image was the product of a late night photo exploration with a private workshop client. While the moon didn’t appear large enough in the sky to include in an image, it certainly illuminated the landscape beautifully for some long exposure photography. As we explored, we happened upon these amazing flowers, which were the perfect foreground for the castle, pine forest and star trails. This image exudes the amazing history we have here in Lake Tahoe. The moon was shining its light on the golden age of this region.
