Fall, on the Rocks, Carson River
Fall is an amazing time of year in the mountains. Change is in the air, temperatures drop, colors change, and I get to spend some well needed time outdoors. As I’m an avid fly fisherman, I wander the river banks in search of trout and unique compositions.
This image, “Fall, on the Rocks, Carson River”, exemplifies my love of the Fall season and the mountain landscape in which I find peace. This place is rugged, and I respect that which survives here. There is a different kind of beauty that relaxes me, and teaches me life lessons. After landing a couple of trout and the sun approached the horizon, I traded fly rod for large format film camera. The last rays of evening light warmed this rugged landscape. The colors became rich. The moment was right for me to expose a sheet of film.
Rugged beauty, strength, perseverance. This is an image of “a place” I like to be. There is beauty in adversity. These places make us strong and thoughtful. I hope this image takes you where you need to be.
This is “The Fine Art of Nature”.
