Evergreen

I find my peace when out on photo excursions. I am especially apt to “disappear” into nature when I am in an exciting new location, or when a familiar place is engulfed in unique atmospheric conditions. This image is an example of the latter. We rarely experience fog here in Lake Tahoe. When we do, out I go! On this mystical morning, I was able to use composition to accentuate the foreground “evergreen” against a background that softened into the layers of fog. The simplicity of this image is its strength. I can feel the quiet!
