Lake Tahoe can be an amazingly beautiful place to photograph any time of year. Many photographers overlook the opportunities to be found here during the Fall. Between the foliage, lighting conditions, fabulous weather and non-existent crowds, Lake Tahoe is an ideal place to visit in the Fall. Remember, the lake itself, the gem of the Sierras, still stretches out below a ring of mountains in the Fall as well. The Fall color peak is generally early to mid-October, but the season can stretch from mid-September through early November, depending on the year.
