Crab Claw Kelp, Glacier Bay, Alaska

This is a classic large format film shot. i love the fine details in the kelp. When enlarged, there are several little crabs and snails visible. This was one of the first images I composed in Glacier Bay. I spent my first morning anchored in the same cove in which John Muir spent his first night there. It seamed to be a magical place full of wild beauty, wildlife and mystery.
