Clam Shells, Leland Island, Glacier Bay, Alaska

While exploring Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska, I used a small inflatable boat to access little islands in search of photo opportunities. The previous evening I stumbled upon this large collection of clam shells, presumably washed up by the tide near an area where sea otters feed. I returned the following morning, delighted that there was a break in the clouds allowing warm golden light to shine through and illuminate the scene. It was a pleasure to capture a little warmth in a place known for ice!
