Aspen, Pine & Boulders Panorama

People often share that a trademark of my work is the feeling that you (the viewer) are standing there, within the scene. Well, I believe this is a perfect example of that. One of the methods I use to find compositions is to simply put on my camera pack and start hiking. As I move along I relax, stop thinking and become more open to what is surrounding me. More often that not, something will grab my attention, like the pine tree covered in aspen leaves in this scene. I then stand back and see if that "eye catcher" might be the anchor to a strong composition. In this case, I believe it worked well. This is autumn in the High Sierras!
