A Good Omen

I took my annual trip to Grand Teton National Park a couple of weeks ago. I was able to convince Noah to join me before he left for basic training in the U.S. Army. We took a break one day while it rained heavily and drove to a hot spring to relax (and shower). After our soak we drove slowly down the dirt road on the side of the canyon chatting about his decision to enlist, his expectations, motivations, etc. As we rounded a corner, this beautiful enormous bald eagle was perched right next to us. Of course I frantically fired away with my camera capturing this iconic image before the eagle decided to leave us. As he soared across the valley we sat silently, soaking in the power and majesty of the bird that is our nations symbol.
